TRS Transmitters –
Connect Sensors to CAN networks

The compact MicroControl µCAN transmitter of the TRS family form the link between analogue sensor technology and digital CAN networks. The IP67 ranked cable transmitter module is designed for space-saving integration in the measuring lines of temperature and strain gauge sensors to minimized interference.

The modules are equipped with a highspeed CAN interface supporting CAN 2.0A and CAN 2.0B, and higher layer protocols such as CANopen, J1939 and a variety of customer specific protocols (Raw CAN) are also supported. Bit rates and module IDs are set via the CANopen standard CiA 305.

µCAN-Transmitter family

Direct connection

The analogue signals are sent over a short distance from the source minimizing interference effectively.

Remote configuration

Bit rates and module IDs of the µCAN transmitter modules are set via the CANopen standard CiA 305 (LSS Layer Setting Services). The Application Note AN1204 describes the required CAN messages for an example configuration.

Highspeed CAN interface

The modules are equipped with a highspeed CAN interface supporting CAN 2.0A and CAN 2.0B, and higher layer protocols such as CANopen, J1939 and a variety of customer specific protocols (Raw CAN) are also supported.

Rugged design

The rugged design of the IP67-rated casing and its high precision electronics ensure reliability and smooth operation.
