4-channel analogue input voltage / current - µCAN.4.ai-BOX

The µCAN.4.ai-BOX is the extended universal measurement module for the acquisition of analogue standard signals. The device is designed for measurement of ±10 V as well as 0(4)..20 mA signals with a 800 Hz total sampling rate.

 

Features

The sensor signals are evaluated and linearized within a rugged aluminium die cast casing. the data are transmitted to the central evaluation unit via the CAN bus.

  • Indication of device state and errors via 2 bi-color LEDs
  • acquisition of up to 4 analogue inputs at a resolution of up to 24 bit for standard signals ±10 V, 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA
  • Anti-aliasing filter
  • Module monitoring via heartbeat function
  • Automatic start-up

Connectivity

Up to 4 analogue signals may be connected. Optional scaling of the measurement units is parameterized via CAN bus.

  • Voltage: - 10 V .. +10 V
  • Current: 0 .. 20 mA
  • Current: 4 .. 20 mA

Communications

The digitized analogue values of the µCAN.4.ai-BOX are transmitted via CAN bus. The bit rate of the CAN bus interface is adjustable within a range of 50 kBit/s to 1 MBit/s. A terminating resistor may be activated via a switch in the device. The CANopen protocol of the module complies with the CANopen standards CiA 301, CiA 305 and CiA 404. Both 11 bit identifiers (CAN 2.0A) and 29 bit identifiers (CAN 2.0B) may be used on the process data.
